Overview
Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) is an efficient and continuous underwater dredging equipment, mainly used for waterway dredging, port construction, land reclamation, river management and other projects. It cuts the underwater soil layer through a rotating auger, and uses a centrifugal pump to suck and transport the mud to the designated area, realizing the integrated operation of excavation, transportation and discharge.

Main structure and working principle
Auger system

Auger head: installed at the front end of the hull, equipped with high-strength alloy teeth, can rotate to cut underwater silt, sand and even rocks (special carbide teeth are required).

Drive device: driven by hydraulic or motor, providing strong torque to adapt to different geological conditions.

Mud suction and discharge system

Centrifugal pump: sucks the mud crushed by the auger into the pipeline through the vacuum effect.

Mud discharge pipeline: connected to the buoy or shore pipe, the mud is transported to the reclamation area or mud unloading point, and the transportation distance can reach several kilometers (relay pump assistance is required).

Positioning and movement system

Anchoring system: The hull is fixed by anchor piles or steel cables to achieve precise positioning.

Transverse winch: Controls the lateral swing of the hull to ensure uniform excavation.

GPS/Beidou positioning: Modern dredgers are equipped with automated control systems to achieve high-precision dredging operations.

Hull structure

The box-type hull design is adopted, equipped with pontoons to adjust the draft depth to meet the needs of operations in different waters.
