Product Description
The cutter suction dredger is a common and widely used dredging vessel. Its main working principle is to use the rotating auger to loosen the soil on the riverbed or seabed, mix it with water to form mud, and then suck it into the pump body through the mud suction pipe, and transport the mud to the mud discharge area through the mud discharge pipe.
From a structural point of view, the cutter suction dredger is mainly composed of the hull, auger system, mud suction system, mud discharge system, positioning and displacement system, etc. The hull provides the entiredredger with an operating platform and buoyancy support to ensure stability when operating on the water surface;the auger system is installed at the front end of the mud suction pipe, and the highspeed rotating auger is used to cut and stir the bottom soil for subsequent mud suction operations. There are various types of cutters, such as ordinary cutters for soft soil, and cutters equipped with teeth for digging harder soil such as clay; the mud suction system consists of a mud suction pipe and a mud pump. The powerful mud pump generates suction to suck the loosened mud through the mud suction pipe; the mud discharge system includes a mud discharge pipe and related connecting equipment, which is responsible for transporting the sucked mud to the designated mud discharge area over a long distance. The length of the mud discharge pipe can be adjusted and spliced according to actual operation requirements. The positioning and shifting system ensures that the dredger can accurately fix its position during operation and move according to the predetermined dredging trajectory.

Common methods include steel pile positioning, anchor cable positioning, and three-cable positioning.

Operation process
Before dredging, the construction area must be surveyed in detail, including measuring the water depth,topography, and understanding the soil conditions, and a reasonable construction plan must be formulated based on the survey results. Then, the cutter suction dredger is moved to the construction area, and the shipis accurately fixed at the starting position through the positioning and displacement system. The auger system is started, the auger speed and cutting depth are adjusted, and the underwater soil is loosened. At the same time, the mud pump is turned on to generate suction to suck the loosened mud through the mud suction pipe and transport it to the mud discharge area through the mud discharge pipe. During the dredging process, it is necessary to pay close attention to the operating parameters of various equipment, such as the torque of the auger, the pressure and flow of the mud pump, etc., and adjust the construction parameters in time according to the actual situation. As the dredging work progresses, the dredger is gradually moved according to the predetermined dredging trajectory through the positioning and displacement system to complete the dredging operation of the entire construction area.
